The inaugural outdoor NHL game was played in Edmonton in 2003. The temperature was -22 Celsius or -8 Fahrenheit. Over 57,000 fans filled the stadium. As a Canadian, it was imperative to purchase a beer at the event. The beer literally froze in your hands, making it a beer slush! What we would do to watch the great alumni Hall of Fame players like Gretzky, Messier, Lafleur and Robinson and so many other great players, and of course the current rosters at the time. I AM CANADIAN!
