Paul Brown in Alfa Romeo T33 - Historic Race at Laguna Seca 2010

Paul Brown was once again called upon to race the Alfa Romeo T33 at the historic races at Laguna Seca. The great news is that for the first time in three years, the car actually finished the race! The bad news is that there are still powertrain issues.

All the cars were in the same class, the only reason they got away was that we had a fuel pressure issue after 7-8 minutes of run time. We set the fastest lap of the race by almost 2 seconds, but when the fuel pressure drops, not much I can do but limp it around.

I've been around Laguna in quite a few cars and on motorcycle. Never looking back as I went around. Best I've been in would be Marnix Dillenius' 1964 Alfa Romeo GTZ.

Yep....I knew Marnix well....and his GTZ. I moved to Michigan in 2004 but have many memories of the "Demon" and his GTZ when I lived in California. A GTZ 1 was always one of my favorite cars but now far out of my price range ;-) I love this video only showing the rear view as he laps much of the field. and passes many other great cars. There is also a front camera video posted on KZbin of the same lapping but this is really a neat and unusual view and I like it best.

@@TigerRacing10 I actually like the rear view the best due to the more unusual view. I was a member of the ALFA club in Northern Calif but retired in 2004 so now in the Michigan club. Love ALFAs and long time owner from 1969 spider I bought new and kept for over 40 years to current 2015 4C LE and a 67 spider SCCA racer that a buddy (Bud Moore) and I raced for a couple of years.

Great video - watching was more exciting than racing my own little formula car at Laguna. I would be very interested in the cause and solution of the fuel pressure problem. Is this information posted anywhere?
