He's been around since the mid '70's, and his voice remains as great as ever. He's written some brilliant songs, and he's remained a humble gentleman despite his success. He's avoided the pitfalls of rock n roll and continues to sound terrific. More power to him.

Brilliant interview Des, I have such respect for this man who always seems so humble, I nearly fell off my seat when you mentioned spennymoor I played all around that area Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Newcastle but our digs were in spennymoor
