I realise that I’m more than late to the party, but that last line was bang on. I was totally incredulous, and entirely offended, when (and since), I heard for the first time, Australian sports reporters, commentators, and journalists, refer to the the Pakistani cricket team, as “The Pakis”. I have lived in Australia for nearly 40 years, and endured persistent racism, as a “fuckin’ Pom”, which is annoying enough (you’re all cold pies and warm piss), but the constant casual racism, that still seems to persist, is embarrassing, to my mind. But then I left the increasingly racist, right wing Britain in 1985, after 4 years of Thatcher, who disgusted me to a level way beneath contempt. However, I chose Australia, wherein racism was considered a form of sport, and/or entertainment. However, Bob Hawke was great for the working classes. But I digress. Racism is not quite baked into the Australian psyche, but the Right wing have had a fucking good go, courtesy of Rupert Murdoch, and his henchmen, and the inevitable neo fascist factions of the Conservative Party. Britain might actually be well behind Australia, in the fucked up racism stakes. Sad to say, but probably true. Anyway, great show, love your work. Keep on keeping on bruv, innit

She was talking throughout the show. That is disrespectful to the comedian and the audience around you. Then she became rude when he asked if she was going to stop talking & started heckling. She 100% deserved to be put in her place. Even her friend was embarrassed by her. It's telling he didn't leave with her to check if she was OK. Very telling
@Iron-Bridge Жыл бұрын
Then she should have better etiquette and shut the f**k up during the show. I've been part of a stand up audience before. The only performer we want to see talking is on stage.
@datalore32764 жыл бұрын
I must have missed the heckle part, from what I saw he was taking the piss out of the Turkish man then even knowing that the woman moved seat so she wasn't "Abused" he thought he would talk to her anyway. Before anyone starts, I know many comedians talk to the front row but there is such a thing as going too far. It was clear that she was pissed up and didn't want to be "part of the show" but he had to keep pressing it he should have noticed they wasnt into it and to top it all off act like he did nothing wrong after.
@datalore32764 жыл бұрын
@@udbhav5079 Well I was not there and have no idea if there were signs on the door saying "This comedian takes the piss out of people so be warned" so if there was yeah your right it is her own fault. On the odd chance, there were no signs or warning I can also agree that if she was talking constantly he should ASK her to be quiet rather than "Are you going to shut up?" You can tell by the number of edits that this was not a matter of 1 minute she swops seats then it all happens in 5 minutes so probably it was more spaced out so in this short version it looks worse than it was maybe. Again I think its perfectly fine for the artist to ask her to shut up because as you said this would be annoying as fuck but my point was the knew from the start she didn't want to be "abused"(as she called it) so he should have not spoken to her UNTIL they were constantly talking but he did feel the need to keep talking to her knowing she would not like it. If I was doing a stand up show and a man moved seats ....sure I would say something like he did but if they said "He doesn't want you to talk to him" I would think ....fair enough and leave it at that NOT keep talking to them. A. because its not that funny when you know they are going to be argumentative/rude or violent and B. They came to have a laugh not to be laughed at so if they are not into it I would leave them be. She shouldnt have been that pissed up and she was stupid to swop seats and she shouldn't have kept talking, I just think he could have handled it better.
@MrSick34 жыл бұрын
Wow you are an idiot mate. Don't go to a comedy club if you can't take a little joke and roasting. Simple. She spoke rudely to Paul because she couldn't take a little roast. On the night she was also pissing off other people around her as well. No wonder everyone was actually happy when he roasted her further.
@datalore32764 жыл бұрын
@@MrSick3 I know I am an idiot m8, but I am allowed to have an opinion. I am not going to watch this again to see if what she said was "Rude" but I can't remember her being rude and my point was that Paul could tell she wa pissed and could tell she didnt want to talk to him yet he did anyway. I also agreed that if she was talking in the middle of his set then sure tell the bitch to shut up. I just think he could have handled it better thats all.
@faazk4 жыл бұрын
So we gonna miss the point on how she started with the respond? If she didn't wanted to be part of it, she could have simply said, I do not want to be part of it, rather than starting in a way to provoke a reply back!

He sells out football stadiums, he's not struggling with room of 30 people. Think about the jokes you heard and laughed at growing up, were none of them about teasing other people? comedy has always been about this. take a look at Shakespeares plays he calls the comedies. Why is it you find that communities that have lived through tragedy and hard times have a harder more offensive type of comedy? People need comedy to express darker ideas that without that avenue of expression can grow into much worse human behaviours.
