Beautiful harp music calling up a whole culture and history, and great playing...and a really beautiful harp, too. Well done Mr Dooley!

It should be mentioned for those that are interested that the "Cape Breton Strathspey" played first in this set is called Lime Hill, and that it was composed by renowned Cape Breton fiddler and composer Dan R MacDonald.

I,'d like to play wire string harp, but can't have long fingernails because I play a gut strung harp and must use my fingertips. ✋🤚

They have clip on fingernails for guitarists. I think it might be worth trying 🤔

@@jaelamaduin7471 I have a nylon strung celtic harp, and my concert harp has gut strings. I don't practice enough to take on any more instruments, so I'll just enjoy other people's playing! After all, SOMEBODY needs to be the AUDIENCE!!! So much music, so little ambition!!! 😢😢😢

Wire strung harp can be played without nails. In fact, for the last couple hundred years before it died out it was mostly played without nails. By the 18th century playing with fingernails was almost totally out of fashion, people preferred the gentler sound of fingertips.
