In this video we explore this 'lost' family entertainment center from Phoenix, AZ. Paul E. Parrott's Pizza N Games was one of the many Chuck E. Cheese copycat restaurants that appeared in the early 1980s, but is definitely one of the more obscure establishments.

The company that made the tokens for PTT and SPP (or at least the designs) also made the Paul E. Parrot token design. I remember seeing it in a brochure also showed Sally animatronics in that same brochure.

Cool! I was there back in 2013 for a business trip and stopped at a neat place called Organ Stop Pizza it had a wulzier organ and player and had a cute cat marionette show at the top of the organ. I'm going to find the footage and put it on my channel. 😊

@FlutterTheThingthey never had animatronics at Organ Stop. They’re marionette puppets. Very basic and kinda creepy. They’re hidden behind some curtains for most of the show but plenty of pictures exist. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re from the locations from the 70s, and just moved to this location in 95’

Mod Rat from animatronicappreciation here! I've always wondered about this place; it's really sad how many neat FECs like this are so scarce for info/photos/footage. Rockin' Rollie's and Circus Time Pizza also come to mind.

Wallace and Ladmo... Aren't those the same guys that also did their own live show at one of the Pizza Time Theatre locations at Tempe, AZ at one point? (Which is a short drive away from Phoenix, one of the main areas in Arizona that broadcasted the show for KPHO-TV 5.)

I’ve had a really bad day. I went to Warrington Gullivers World to see the hard luck bears, but what they didn’t tell me is that they weren’t performing today. They gave me misinformation. But, this video did make me smile a bit.

I wish animatronic pizza parlors were still around. They were such unique gimmicks for their time. Chuck E Cheese started that fad, and they ended it.

those images of the characters on the newspapers definitely look like retrofitted cec cyberamics, but where would they have gotten them? im so curious about this place now.

I’ll keep an eye out local thrift stores for any old home videos of this place. Maybe try the Phoenix subreddit. They love a good dose of nostalgia, and there’s a good amount of people who have been in the valley for a long time. Found a lot of information there when researching one of our old theaters that’s long gone

Just a thought, and probably very wrong as I don't know much about CEC locations and their spinoffs, but is it in any way possible that the bots were re-used cyberamic bots? The masks look very similar to PTT mask designs, at least, the racoon looks a bit like how chuck e would have looked around that time. Additionally, they were described as puppets, implying limited movement; the PTT cyberamic bots had very limited movements, and like some puppet shows, were only visible from the waist up. Maybe a nearby PTT location had closed, or a lease ran out and the bots were re-used here? Again, I don't know much about when PTT locations opened/closed, so I could be wrong, but it's just an idea. I do wish there was more info about shows like these. If there are locations where all we have is a newspaper ad or two, imagine how many more small shows we don't even know existed.

That storefront wasn't a part of Christown proper. But a shopping center on 19th Ave and Missouri(north east corner). I recognize the building, I used to go there a lot. Tower Records was in the same mall. I have ne memory of this place, there was a pizza place in that mall( I think Peter Pipers). Unusual restaurants like this wasn't uncommon back in the day. There was a variety of themed restaurants around Phoenix, that I saw as a kid in the 70's. But that isn't a thing anymore. If you want a better idea of what Christown used to look like use historic aerials. Google doesn't go back far enough. But the newspaper archives are pretty complete. The next step is to get a name/s of whoever owned the place. See if they are still around, or relatives who might know something. The sad part about stuff like this, people do not think it's worth preserving. They think it's too new, it is hard for some of us to face, the fact that a lot of things we grew up with are now antiques. Wallace and Ladmo are true legends, who entertained generations of Arizonians.

I remember that one. I have a couple other solo videos for restaurants planned out, as well as putting a few into a compilation video that have little info on them. Not sure if that one has enough to be its own video but definitely was an interesting place lol

This is intresting. i remember my friend supra mentioned there being a lost animatronic from some kids place. it was a ripoff of the genie from aladin and didnt realy work. all they did with it was bring it out just for people to take photos of it. sadly the place is shut down and the owner has no idea what happened to the animatronic. if anyone in spain has found a animatronic that looks like a bootleg version of the genie from aladin please let me know cause at this point its lost media (not even the lost media subredit would accept it sadly)

Where can I find all these obscure animatronic pizza places? Please I gotta know! Also, Captain Carnivals Pizza Theater perhaps? Teehee! Also, I’ve tried looking on this channels namesake website, the arcade preservation wiki, and cheese e pedia but I’ve hardly found anything on CCPT. If anyone knows where I can find info about this place, much appreciated, thanks!
