mr squiggle reminds me of a old russian character who had a pencil as a nose aswell, his name is karandash (pencil). he was apart of a group of other characters with cipollino and neznaika and a few others, i think it was called 'funny pictures'. it was also a cartoon i believe called 'firefly 8'. it was just a bunch of literary characters mashed into one. for some reason cheburashka is sometimes implemented into it, and for some reason buratino (russian pinocchio) aswell
