After betting Paul that he wouldn't be able to find a pair of the right headrests for this BMW, Drew has to dye his beard purple when Paul not only finds the parts, but gets them restored perfectly to match the seats.

Am i alone in thinking that for £1350 you could have got a far better set of wheels with a much better dish and off set for that money? A set of period BMW alloys wouldn’t have cost that much, It would have looked better on the original wheels with a bigger drop 🤷🏻‍♂️

I absolutely love the 2002 this and the 3.0 CSL coupe are my favourite BMWs. The super rare turbo version of the 2002 was the nuts could do 0-60 mpg in 6.9 seconds & 140mph it was the fastest saloon car in the world in 1974 was known as the Porsche eater and famously had 2002 turbo in mirror writing on the front spoiler so you knew what car was about to overtake you on the motorway

In 1970 I had the 1600 in this shape and that was quick and rare ,some of my friends said why did own a two Stroke!,but soon realised the truth.another friend brought the 2002Turbo which was rapid and the best car I've driven!

The 70-72 2002 was my dream car when I was a kid. A friend of mine got a 1600 just to rub it in my face- And it worked. I was bummed. So I just road around with him instead. My first car ended up being a be cabriolet that I bought. I loved that thing...it was so damn fast. I had an absolute ball living at the beach every chance I could (Cali). Then I went through about 10more of my dream cars for about 6 years, until I ditched the SUVs once my sons hit about 5 and ended up driving the inevitable...minivan. Now the kids are off and I’m more than happy w/my hybrid Toyota Highlander. I’d still like to have one of them 2002s tho.😬

paul backskin totally agree, you can’t tell Paul anything though, he just starts bleating about personal taste if you question some of his decisions He tried mugging me off about a MK1 golf they did, saying he had been doing this for 20 years and the mods they did improved it, I only pointed out that a totally stock 1600 Gti would have worth the 12k tag, and not on the incorrect Pirelli wheels added red pin striped bumpers and 16v roof Ariel it sold with I also pointed out i have been doing the VW scene for 35 years and I’m not a car dealer, he didn’t say anything after that
