You guys need some ear cleaner because obviously you can't hear. Matt Rhule did not say anything about the Big Ten needing guaranteed slots. He said the Big Ten should have 4 teams in the playoffs. This isn't something he just declared either. This originated off of a question a reporter asked to Matt Rhule about the difficulty of winning the Big Ten with the new teams. His reply included that he thought at least 4 teams should make the playoffs, so in his mind, he was saying you don't have to win the Big Ten in order to make the playoffs. The funny thing is that question was asked by an ESPN reporter.

Matt Rhule has had success at every college he has been. Maybe not a championship but he has built a winner at every stop. The point was that Finebaum said that he was a failure in the NFL and I was simply making the comparison to Saban and his failure in the NFL. Of course Saban is a more accomplished coach in college, without a doubt. The best to have done it. But Finebaum trying to say Rhule should stay in his lane is ridiculous, as if Rhule has no clue what he is talking about. In the end it doesn't really matter what Finebaum or Rhule says for that matter. Everyone is advocating for themselves and I just hope to see a good football season coming up and let things shake out. Then after the season is over we can debate who should be in the playoffs and how many from each conference should get in.

@@MrCanelover Ehhh sorta..... He had a national championship in a season where the literal #1 ranked team in the country didnt play for the championship. LSU beat Oklahoma..... the same OU that got ANNIHILATED in the B12 championship 7-35 to KSU, but magically made the title game anyways over the literally ranked #1 USC. College titles are a lot easier, when you can just makeup the rules as you go and obvious nonsense doesnt count against your coaching record. Im not gonna say Saban doesnt deserve the praise, but man theres a lot of asterisks with college titles...... 2009 - 5 teams went undefeated in a 2 team playoff 2011 - didnt even win the division, but made the national title over 3 conference champions with the same record (one them literally beat the SEC East Champ in OOC) 2012 - undefeated Ohio State wasnt elligible to even play for a title game 2017 - team couldnt even win their division but makes it over an undefeated conference champ and a conference champ with 3 times as many Top 15 wins as Saban

Im a fan of an SEC team and believe that the SEC plays a much higher level of football than any other league. But that said no league should get 4 teams into a 12 team playoff. The government needs to step in and save college football.
