Buddy would have played it with more taste and to be brutally honest I think Paul is trying too hard these days to make it complicated, losing the melody and possibly the plot too. Sorry.

@@WildPhotoShooter Care to back up that lousy take with some actual musical discussion? Like where do you lose the melody? It's pretty gosh darn clear to me. Too complicated? You do realize he's playing jazz/swing - play the melody then improvise on the changes, which he does masterfully... Easy to make trite comments like yours, but to actually put meaning behind them... well I won't hold my breath.

@@WildPhotoShooter That's a really low level response... considering Buddy played jazz too... Sounds like you are stereotyping jazz into free form cacophony, and you don't have much if any listening experience in that genre.
