Well we spotted the poser. Factual it was part of a scene and movement in 1982 that helped form a heavier genre of metal to transition from Glam LA Metal to rebel against it with showcasing new bands inspired to play speed, aggression, and was part of the process to influence metal into heavier and more extreme directions, helping with pioneering metal to push new boundaries. Possessed and Sepultura would have cited Kill Em All as a huge influence. And your'e right, I do need to put down the big mac's. It's very original and observant of you. How did you think of that one? Amazing. A true genius. Btw, a body is capable of losing weight. You showed your stupidity and true poserdom :)

@deteriorotdeathmetal30624 ай бұрын
We didn't copy jack shit. We all came up at the same time. Immolation, Incantation, Deteriorot, and Ceremonium, We all listened to most of the same bands, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Venom, Slayer, Possessed, Celtic Frost, Death, Autopsy, early Sepultura (Morbid Visions). And we all gave our own spin on those bands we were inspired by. That's as stupid a statement as saying Carnage and Dismember were Entombed Clones. It was a combined regional inspiration when you all happen to be local friends and share the same musical taste as you listen to music often together when hanging out
@metalneanderthal4 ай бұрын
@@deteriorotdeathmetal3062 look man, if you’re going sit there and talk shit and critique bands you better be able to take criticism yourself. I own about 4 of your releases. I like them. But to me I hear a ton of Incantation worship in there. Thats what I hear. Sorry. It is what it is. Granted, I listened to Incantation and Autopsy long before your band so that could have been a factor. I personally just don’t hear a ton of originality in your music. I just don’t. It’s good. I enjoy it but that’s just me. Maybe if like I said I heard your demo and ep when they came out then? Maybe I’d have a different opinion As far as coming up around the same time yeah ok so I wasn’t there in Jersey at that time. I was in a different part of the country. So ok yes, Im just a guy buying and playing records im not on your side of the fence. However from my point of view Incantation has already had two demos an ep and a full length by the time your demo dropped. Hell, Autopsy had been putting material out since 87. On top of that your actual full length didn’t come out until 2000. Yes, I heard your reason why. But the fact of that matter is by time your album dropped Death metal had already had two phases really almost three. That’s just where I’m coming from. Last edit: maybe clone was too harsh of word. Would “Worship” be better? It came across as “a copy”. Sorry? Just, what is it you and J Dawg say? “Busting balls?”

Severed Survival was released in 89. Abominations was difficult to find back then… Screamm Bloody Gore was the bridge from thrash/death bands like Possessed, Hellhammer, Sodom etc… The first true death metal album was Obituary - Slowly…, then Morbid Angel - Altars a few weeks later. Symphonies was a grind / death album. All a matter of opinion though

Well, it looks like SuicidalGrind is right. JB Bob disappeared off the face of this channel. Could this be some sort of accident? His humor was always very lighthearted and never overly offensive. Always found him hilarious and one of my favorite people on here. I'm thinking this might be a mistake. I've seen some VERY offensive people on here who I wouldn't miss one bit if they got banned, and JB definitely isn't one of them. Always thought he was a solid dude. I'm thinking this was either an accident, or maybe one of his interviews set someone off who has a business relationship with J Dawg? This doesn't feel right

How can you bring up NJDM and not mention Mortal Decay?
@deteriorotdeathmetal30624 ай бұрын
How? Because although great friends. Nice guys. We didn't consider that type of genre as the same scene, they were doing more of that tech brutal slam, not in line what we were doing or a part of, that had it's own scene separately, the scene with the hats, and they were't the same region. We know many outside the region of NJ/NY don't get that NJ has a split on true NJ lol, they even split on calling some procesesed ham as either Taylor Ham (North) or calling it Pork Roll (South, PA, and Beach Area) and I know that's weird, that's the NJ Culture. But South NJ we don't claim. Mortal Decay was from a part of NJ that was regional to Philadelphia area. The majority of the NJ Death Metal scene was in the NYC area if that makes sense to you. Mortal Decay didn't play the same shows and venues we were doing up in the Northeast NJ/NYC area in 1989 through 1992

No disrespect to Garza's big brother, but That story just sounded like a bully's flex to me, esp considering many drummers go shirtless after they are warmed up. A real drummer with talent knows his value and would have told you to take off your shirt and go Bert Kreischer for the one off show you played together that beautiful night. If you only got booked once in six months, i dont think it was the drummers fault, but we get it, the guy didn't make you sound better, so he had to go. We all been there. Great drummers are rare and often times scenes die sheerly due to their not being enough real drummers. We should track this man down and get his side of the story. How's that for engagement?😜

@@deathmetal0073 I have some Thrash Tattoos. Sounds like a comprehension issue for you and I can't change that. Thrash inspired us to leap ahead just like British Heavy Metal like Judas Priest and others inspired Thrash. But when listening to Exodus, you don't get the Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden style or sound. Even though that is an inspiration for the next phase of metal at that time "Thrash". If you listen again, we were part of a new movement and we wanted to be heavier and different from Thrash. So true Death Metal was it's own sound, the boundaries pushed were meant to make Thrash sound like a weaker, obsolete, and it weeded alot of that out. When you listened to Mortician, Immolation, Autopsy, or even Obituary. Thrash riffing, picking, rhythms, were never into play and there was no similarities or comparisons to Thrash. That's how many of us felt that lived through that time of the 1st generation of Death Metal. That's my answer. If you don't understand it, that's on you.

How many death metal bands do you see with short hair and how many deathcore bands do you see with long hair ? Not too many. Maybe there's one or two guys in the band breaking rank but overall it is a dress code thats followed. in all genres of music. You arent going to see many long haired punk or hardcore bands either. The baseball caps are definitely a punk and hardcore influenced thing and any death metal band guys wearing them probably are doing it because they play slam style death metal and also love hardcore music and grew up on it. A long haired guy from suburban Florida playing death metal wearing a baseball cap would make no sense but someone from Long Island playing Slam wearing a hat would make sense. Tattoos as well. You hardly ever see death metal dudes who are heavily tattooed but you see it all the time in deathcore. I dont know any death metal band guys with neck, throat, finger, and hand tats because its not part of the culture. So its not really wear or do whatever you want, its more like what scene and environment are you a product of shapes how look and dress.

@@off6848 There's always outliers everywhere of course but I do believe where you grew up and came from and what scene you came up in shapes how you look and dress. Yeah there's always weirdos or oddballs who do their own thing but for the majority its not like that.
