Paul Gauguin Cruise | Is a 7-Nights Cruise in French Polynesia Worth It?

Paul Gauguin Cruise is one of the things you can do when vacationing in French Polynesia. But is it worth the cost or staying on land is better than cruising? I will offer my view in this video. On Top of that, I will also show you the ports of call of a 7-nights Tahiti and Society Islands cruise.

Been on the PG twice, both times to see the total solar eclipse - totally worth it! Great food, great drinks, great crew, plus no kids. Their SCUBA trips are awesome - you go right off the back of the boat to your dive destination.

We do like the balcony cabins on PG. We cruised this area in 2018 on a Holland America ship for 14 days. We flew from LA to Papeete in Coach round trip. I would not recommend it! Next time it’s Business Class.

Yes business class is the way to go when traveling to FP if you can afford it. I flew business class with Air France during our last trip and it was the right decision we made.

Great video. We are cruising 2nd time with Paul Gauguin soon. Question. We need to drop our rental car at PPT airport and get to the cruise port on time. Do you recommend booking a transfer with PGC or will there be taxis readily available at airport? I would hate to miss our boat. Thanks 😊

Thanks for watching. Paul Gauguin cruise is relaxing cruise ship not like the party ships in the Caribbean. People cruise primarily to unwind and relaxation. Having said that there a lot of people cruising alone. You easily noticed them during lunch or dinner because they are seating alone on a table. It should not be a problem at all.

What we did we stayed 4 days in moorea before the cruise and cruise 7 days. The cruise ship will be back in moorea for another 2 days.
