It is always emotional for me to hear peoples enjoy there trip on the Paul Gauguin. My dad bring this ship in the early 2000 to the pacifiq ocean and my mom used to manage the local dancers call "the gauguines". My dad always wanted to bring joy and hapiness to all the people around him. I think he did great on it. I should stop talking. Love your video and thank you. Naiki

Don't miss this marvelous and unique experience. My husband and I spent 11 days on the Paul Gauguin and I would go back at any time. The scenery is unforgettable. Love the fact we were only 332 guests on the ship and because the ship is smaller you get to be close to the cost. The food and the attention from the crew staff always with a smile goes very well with this kind of destination. A cabin with a balcony is a must. You get to spend a complete day on their own island so relaxing. The color of the water with different shade of blues, amazing.

Thank you! I had the great pleasure of sailing on the Gauguin twice, both to intercept a total eclipse of the Sun. In 2005 near Pitcairn Island and in 2009 in the far north of the Cook Islands. In 2005 we had the rare privilege of landing on Pitcairn, by climbing down a Jacob’s Ladder onto the islanders’ longboat for them to take us ashore as only they have the experience necessary to ride the surf into their small and unprotected harbour. They shuttled passengers back and forth all afternoon. We got to spend an hour on Pitcairn, walking up the Hill of Difficulty to visit Adamstown. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Love the Paul Gauguin! Was on it in 2003 and stayed in one of the few porthole rooms and LOVED it!

I was searching for info on the porthole room…I’m happy to know you loved it, I was afraid it would be claustrophobic as I’ve only had balconies on other ships

My wife and I have done two cruises on the PG - both times to see the solar eclipse booked through Wilderness Travel. It's awesome. The crew remembered us when we boarded the second trip. Very cool. The marina is very cool and if you SCUBA dive they have some really cool trips. I've done SCUBA trips all over and the ones I did off of the PG were close to the best. Great ship, great crew, great locations.

I really like how you show us cruises from ones that are off the beaten track. So many youtubers all crowd into the same ships and the ships are new but after I see them from 5 youtubers all on the same sailing there’s no incentive for me to take that ship 🤣

Very informative overview of this lovely ship. I do find it very odd that the one high priority item for folks taking cruises is to read or hear reviews of the food and you being a vegan you can't provide a complete review. You would have to rely on taking a poll of other passengers which is somewhat okay but not exactly ideal for your profession.

Thank you for the fabulous review. We are booking for next year. My Mom wants to come and she's very sensitive to heat. Is the air conditioning good around the ship public areas and the cabins? I know this area of the world is hot and humid so I want to make sure that she can get comfortable if need be.
