It is what it is at that point. Live with the results. The clippers had five years (more like 4 years) of being contenders. I mean, back when the trade happened, you do the trade 10/10 times. There was no guarantee that Shai would have turned out the way he is now if he stayed on the Clippers. The Clippers got Kawhi (FMVP) and PG (3rd in Regular Season MVP voting) in their primes. If the second apron wasn't a thing, I'm sure they would have been more willing to give PG exactly what he wanted. The clippers opted for flexibility with the new CBA. Which I think is the second best option. The best being PG staying.

@@maxmeier532 it’s not about how many players it’s the fact the NFL will pay their good players pennies while they make billions and probably make more money than the NBA. The NFL will pay a super star $10 million a year or depending on who it is the average 4 year deal for a good player might only be like $30 million unless you’re the top tier superstar players the NFL isn’t paying much and their contracts aren’t guaranteed meanwhile a average bench player might get $60 - a $100 million in the NBA.

Paul, even though you made the All-Star team, you are no longer an All-NBA level talent at the age of 34 and you’re injury prone. You deserved more than $30M per year, but you do not deserve $53M per year on a four year deal and you’re delusional for thinking that. I don’t care about the Clippers or the 76ers, but you said that you would bring a title to the Clippers after they gave up a lot to get you and banked on you. They offered you $50M per year and I doubt that it was the lack of a no-trade clause that made you turn it down. I’m not surprised that you would make excuses about the situation when you can’t keep your word either though. Good luck in Philadelphia.

"You gotta do what's best for your family" - That's the worst start to this topic someone talking to a player like you PG could possibly have done. You're set for life, and your family is set for multiple generations, that kind of thought process takes a infinite amount of ego and arrogance to have. You've made with endorsements, sponsorships, and your own signature shoes well over a half a BILLION dollars. This podcast is a income source. There's zero excuse for such a thought process. Or thinking somehow now a contract is never enough and that's it's "too low". Honestly, ridiculous and somewhat insulting to us everyday working class people who put our hard earned money into going to games, paying for our favorite player's merch and gear, the TV subscription, etc. "BUT I NEED MORE MONEY, THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!" Reminds me of Jamal Crawford when he was here in Portland, he got offered the biggest contract of that offseason from us, and he had the audacity to say publicly in a interview "I have a family to feed", when he had made well over $120M by that point in his career, if not more. "I got a family to feed" to a contract he's literally claiming was "too little in money" to care for his family, as if it would make him and them destitute. There's been a overall negative feeling and perception of him ever since that I know won't leave any born & raised Oregonians and Blazers fans. The uproar that caused instantly was more than expected and well deserved. This has the same kind of egotism to it, but disputably a little worse given how much money you've made to this point. And then consider the new CBA, and the health and success track records of both you and Kwahi, yeah, they'd be idiots to sign you both to such massive contracts. That's not disrespect to you guys or your skills and impact either, it's just facts using the full picture. The one mistake they did make was not working with you to agree to a sign and trade in order to ensure they got something back for you, rather than letting you walk for nothing, making the Shai for you trade so much worse now, considering it therefore has quite literally wound up giving away Shai, you and the future of the team up for absolutely nothing in return.

Understandably, but you guy’s should’ve seeded higher and it’s obvious now why you didn’t. 3. Your streaky play this year proved your a third option, if Philly wants to pay you that money to be a 3rd option so be it, I don’t think other teams including the clips think a 3rd option is worth that much. @@adingdingdiiing6740 I watched the entire podcast 🤷🏾‍♂️ and Ik what he said , now if u go watch he will tell u why he asked for the 212 because in the league he said he asked for the 150 PLUS a no trade clause for security that he won’t get traded and retire there to which they said NO! Which means in the league that no trade clause means they was gonna sign and trade him somewhere he did t want and he had no control . Like we keep saying ITS NOT ABOUT THE BREAD DIRECTLY but it had something to do with.
