In my mind Dillon Brooks honestly made a smart play. The Lakers were clearly better than the Grizzlies, especially with Ja being injured. The Lakers also play notably worse and win less games when Bron scores more and plays less of a quarterback roll. Pissing off Bron enough to potentially have him go for 50 would have been detrimental to the Lakers actually winning games. Dude shot his shot. They were gonna lose anyway, might as well TRY to throw the competition off their usual game plan enough to give your own team a chance 🤷🏽‍♂️
