Paul you are epic an legennnnnd and I dont use that word lightly you brought the deep consciousness of the global wars to my attention in 1982 I was just 16 years old in Africa. 6 years later I returned back to the UK and I went to Our Price Records in Islington that was in 1988 and I found the vinyl single of "19". I was hooked and never looked back ever since. Your music has forever touch since then and my travel adventures around the world. I look forward to visiting Vietnam for the 1st time and another trip to Japan determined to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Thanks for uploading. It`s always very interesting to see how certain Songs got done, how the Artists composed them. I can clearly remember when this Song came out,it was the Synth Bass that caught my attention the most, loved it.The other bits on the Song are also awesome btw!. 😊 I can also clearly remember me being very disappointed when it got toppeled from No 1!. 😠🙃But i guess 5 weeks at No.1 isn`t bad!. 😄

Glad I joined and served and survived. 19 and Duran Duran was my go to music that motivated me a lot during those times.

I remember buying all the versions, including the German one. As far as I remember the song was 13 weeks number 1 in Germany. I was 19 back then and joined the Army shortly after.

I recall CBS doing a report on the song 19.Sime vets were interviewed. I also a report on returning vets from that war.I was a child back then. The odd thing is in school we studied the Civil War and WW2 more than nam.Like I stated before odd now that I think about.I meet a few Nam vets. And no I did not ask them to go into depth about their unit.If they wanted to they would have tolded me.
