This man is a musical god , and totally inspired me to make music and Dj I loved Paul's music well before 19 and back to the days of First Light , I will never forget the first time I heard 19 on Radio 1Tuesday tea time it sent shivers down my spineand still does now , I would love to have beer or a cup a tea with the man . And now I'm mixing up his daughter tunes Rock ON

How sweet that Paul Hardcastle's daughter is singing on this version, she's great. I think it's a shame PH didn't perform '19' live on Top of the Pops. It was No 1 for ages and the producer Michael Hurll wanted him to do a life performance but it never happened. The video was superb, but I would have loved to see the great man perform it in the TOTPs studio too! This has to be in the Top 5 all-time iconic tracks of the Eighties.

This performance was much better than most crap we see today on the Grammys or other "music awards"! A powerful song that makes you think and reflect. In Venezuela, this song was EPIC in the 80's...people loved it. They still do!😉

Paul Hardcastle wrote the ballad that best sums up the Vietnam War, both its insanity and pathos. He deserves a knighthood.

I had a cousin who served in Vietnam in 1970. He was in Da Nang. he didn't tslk about it too much. The last time I saw him, he had mentioned all of the meds he was taking (depression, arthritis, nightmares, anxiety). unfortunately he passed in 2005.... alone. no one knew he had passed until 4 days later.

What I'll NEVER understand is why when our guys came home they didn't get a Hero's welcome. What was wrong with the dumbass people back then. Our guys DIDN'T have a choice the goverment sent them but it seemed like the plain people back then held it against our guys which was WRONG. To this very day those people should feel ASHAMED of their selves. YOU BACK YOUR TROOPS NO MATTER WHAT. I can't even begin to think what our guys were going through when there own people turned there backs on them

Paul Hardcastle is a very talented composer, producer and recording artist. My only question is, why not perform with real musicians. It's alot different using recorded tracks and tapes and techno gear as opposed to having real artists playing to not only give the visual performance enhancement but allowing the audience to experience the sound as well. It's been well documented that not all artists can sound like the recordings on live performances as compared to records. .....I'm just sayin.

@Ruddteen First and foremost Paul Hardcastle is English, and secondly singing a rap, pop song about a war where 55,000 american servicemen and 1 million Vietnamiese people lost their lives is sick
