Paul Harvey is a American treasure. No one these days comes close to what he did as a story teller and prognosticator. Absolutely incredible.

Hello, south Louisiana! How far south are we talking? Houma, Thibodaux, Slidell, New Orleans?

@@BradDison yeah,we sure do. There are some wonderful people in the world, but the nasty one's get the press.

@@ohmike813 You're absolutely right about that. It's sad the amount of "press" the bad ones get. :)

Harley Proctor, son of James Gamble, is one of my heroes in the business world!

I need to learn more about him. I hope you enjoyed this one. :)
@mistergrandpasbakery9941 Жыл бұрын
@@BradDison indeed I did. Harley Proctor is the one that came up with the name Ivory during a church service. I think Paul Harvey did an episode on that. He was also friends with Norman Vincent Peale's dad. That friendship is documented in Peale's book This Incredible Century. There's also some fodder for future videos.

Thanks for a great story, Brad. Isn't this the very thing that made the United States the greatest country in the world? We opened our arms (and later used them) to anyone who had a desire to better themselves. And in the process we benefited immensely! As a side note here, wouldn't we (the world) have benefited SO much more had we opened those arms a little wider during the Second World War?
