Good morning Paul I don't know if you read the comments, but I want to thank you for what you are sharing. Some of your explanations are so clear. The first time I listened to you, a couple of days ago, I felt I was finally understanding this direct instruction, wich I heard from other teachers before, in different forms. Here for example, when you say that the mind hates the body, but it needs it to demonstrate...what a profound, liberating understanding. I have tears of joyful gratitude, thank you. I will sit and listen again to your sharings, until is clear. Thank you thank you thank you

Been spiritual hiking for sometime.mainly with nisargadetta trying to understand as the body had some sort of revelation after listening to this talk I took out the word my and discorverrd am just a vessel through what then I claim as my. Maybe that's why they call it maya as it has my in it. Taking away the my and listening to others peoples mys really is revolutionary. Thanks Paul ♥️

Lovely Paul just finished watching from 58 mins on , wry humorous this crumpled trumpet...ah, you beautifully demonstrated your actual level of realization by your patient compassionate listening to that woman , rather than launch out at her or end her ditrite, it is so subtle though this the main point you raise , the endless machinations of the mind creating our experience , what is appears as and we take this as the dipole for selfing as Upsani said the universe does not exist as such so what then can the self use ? It is difficult to imagine how refined this stateless state was in say Jesus or even Nis , they offer us or me hope anyway , as we move inexorably from Bethlehem to Golgotha.More power to you Paul and go well R

I don't understand why he says that his action figure needs the structure of AA, and that he might be drunk without it. If you see that you're not a self, and the thoughts say, "you should go get a drink", why would you feel compelled to act? Why wouldn't intelligence act ... first, knowing what kind of a life that that leads to, and second, knowing that you don't have to listen to every suggestion that thought throws your way. I know that Lisa Cairns talks about having had to face all of these passive tendencies in her personality after awakening. It's not like your action figure can't learn and change through it's own built in intelligence.

True, Rudolf Steiner speaks of 12 senses etc - the principle stays the same - awareness can't become an object of investigation. It is true that the believed-in object can never meet awareness. It can only 'meet' it if the seeming object realises that it is nothing but the subject, only appearing as an object.
@michaeldelisieux5252

Dietrich Lasa Very interesting your reference to Rudolf Steiner...Almost at the same time this "invitation"(ND) seemed to have appeared to what writes; through a Doctor friend, the Rudolf Steiner' s philosophy was presented. But it seemed to have been too late...The vastness, even containing R S, had apparently been there...
@DietrichLasa
@DietrichLasa 7 жыл бұрын
RS was clairvoyant, a great thinker and pedagogue, scientist and artist, but he didn't touch ND. He didn't understand it, neither intellectually nor actually. His 'monism' he called a 'thought-monism' because what he had realised was that thoughts are not owned by anyone in particular. He did wonderful things in the dream world of time - all the Steiner schools, Bio-dynamic agriculture, homes for intellectually impaired etc. Still, I have always felt uncomfortable reading his books that were devoid of proper ND.
@michaeldelisieux5252
@michaeldelisieux5252 7 жыл бұрын
Bingo. It's how it was felt here! The works and postulates are concise BUT for those that were presented to ND seems like "someone" trying to unlearn how to read...Once there, cannot back up... At that point, to me, all presentations seemed very close to a 'religion'( If it isn't)! Thanks for your comment. ( Have followed your bright posts and commentaries ( ND), on the net)! Cheers!

Dietrich Lasa Indeed. But I would say, the subject, appears as *all* objects. The body/object appears not in a world, the body and world are the same, appearing in consciousness, as *this* experience, known by consciousness. Consciousness knowing itself.
@DietrichLasa
@DietrichLasa 7 жыл бұрын
Jasen, yes, it is so. When you say 'Consciousness knowing itself' that could lead to a new discussion. What you are ('real' subjectivity without reference to anything) is so clear that there is no room for doubt. That clarity is prior to thought-based knowing (in my use of words). Knowing 'objective' appearances may arise in this clarity. The clarity itself is not known by knowing appearances. (And I don't imply that you believe that.) That clarity is also known but not by means of thought but by 'now-ing.' Commonly, only thought-related knowing is called 'knowing.'

But it seems that some thoughts arise on a subtle level and then give rise to an action this is the porblem , not the detectable thoughts which do not drive impulses to act thus we live in a groove or a series of them ...
@richardprice9730

Is the primary gate the "mind" that is the ext sense are relatively easy to deal with and to see yes I am not that which sees, touches etc , but the subtle inner , the I which thinks feels in which impulses arise in which the whole panoply of self world impulse arises this is more difficult and the i, seeming to be gets stuck here often for me , before I know it I am caught in an impulse , in anger , in this or that thought and the stream of connections and presuppositions . 6:16

Wow... False evidence can only appear to be real to that which is real. Things can only seem to be real to that which is real... and in that experience there is only the noticing happening… and that noticing of something is the only true thing. We are what we notice and what we notice is itself the act of noticing. That is the totality of realness… and that is the totality of what we are. We are the act of, or experience of noticing; and noticing is an action… we are the action of noticing.

A philosophy that pathologizes the self and trivializes the human experience. Seemingly this and seemingly that. It seems to have no purpose, except to validate one's apathy toward life.
@kdm3477

spirituality is growing, it's still in a raw and crude form, but in the video the man means well. the dream is not trivial, he's saying this to shock people into awakening, but once you get in touch with your real identity you look back to outside, and you know why you were dreaming in the first place. the human experience is not trivial at all, it is very important,but you have to adopt a different perspective, not the perspective of a human,but of an immortal soul, to understand why you're here and what you're actually doing here. we came here to create, to express infinity in our own unique essence, to learn lessons that will serve the growth of our immortal souls to ascend higher dimensions
