Vince Sr. knew he didn't have much time left so he sold it for a lot less than it was worth to his son and Vince Jr. convinces himself and everyone else that he bought out his father. Vince Jr bought the most lucrative territory for $1 million total, divided into separate payments.

Shane hates his dad and for good reason. That's why I always got the feeling that Vince always favored Stephanie over Shane, although Shane always took the business 10X more seriously....... and to find that Shane is pretty much the only normal McMahon after discovering he left in 2016, because of all of Vince's antics (supposedly), is actually not surprising

Chances are the most that was said between Vince and Shane was that Vince also didn't agree with his father but waited his turn to do things his way. Paul Heyman then did his thing when recounting the story.

@@teddybaggu ECW was minor. But the UFC was what really ticked Vince off. Shane's relationship with his dad broke down due to the UFC. When the UFC gained popularity in the mid 2000s, starting with Brock Lesnar defecting to the UFC, that was when Shane decided to leave the WWE for good and start a business in China. Basically he didn't want to have anything to do with the family. Plus that whole storyline of him hating Stephanie when he returned? That was based on a shoot scenario. He really did have heat with Stephanie and Vince at the time.

He literally took over his father’s company with an iron fist, invading other wrestling companies territories, knowing that used to be a big no-no stepping on other companies toes. I gotta hand it to him if he would’ve never did that his father‘s company likely would’ve tanked Vince knew what he had to do, and took initiative and built something so great, that no other company could imitate or come close to ratings wise and popularity, wise, WWE Will always be the word that you associate wrestling with just like the word mixed martial arts. The word UFC will always be the first thing that comes to peoples minds when thinking about MMA. 💯🗣️

You know everyone gives Vince hate because everybody has wanted him out for years and they finally did it. WWE is doing so much better without him but we have to understand that due to how he was raised by his parents it could be some of the reasons he said stuff like this to others.
