Been doing it this way for about a month now 👍🏻 Really is a good method to attach your rigs, thanks Paul

I have tied my rigs to the elastic of my pole like you since I have seen your video excellent I also pass it on to anyone who will listen. Lol please please please more videos.

Hi Paul, the advantage of doing it this way is so if you see any signs of wear on your elastic when attaching your rig you can easily tie a new knot without changing the tention to much as you only lose a centimetre. I have never had the line cut through the elastic but just make sure you check before each session.

Hi jason, I use the match no 2 and get rid of the no 1. A blue preston bush will fit straight into the end of the no 2. I use yellow pink and blue with the match no 2 sections and a interlastic no 3. For grey and black I use a big bore no 2 and cut back to the same length as the match no 2. For red I use a ctk 10 I think and cut to the same length.

I think it helps when you are trying to catch them with a short line and feeding Russell. I think when you are dobbing you need it on your 3,4,and 5th section. Will have a go next year with it and let you know!

hi stumbled across this vid and have found it really informative especially about the connection to your elastic. I just use regular stonfo, but am going to try your method. Thanks!

Hi Russell. I use pink hydro at porth for fishing on the long pole and yellow for the short pole

one of the best videos out there explaining hydro ! just a question, when you fish for skimmers and f1's you put the elastic trough one kit of 2 sections without the tip or just trough the small tip and the first section of the kit ? this way would be enough for 2 kits , thank you

Can you use elastic for ice fishing? What would you use for ice fishing in twenty feet of water?

i love the idea on the knot instead of the dacron but does the knot on the elastic ever pull back through the bead? cheers Rob.

hi paul, i used to use a crow foot for all my hollows but lost two good fish in sepperste matches that cost me money, convince the line had cut through the laccy and vowed never to attach line directly to the laccy again, changed to dacron and used them ever since but a lot of good anglers are now using this method you've shown and there is a lot of advantages to it, are you not concerned that hooking a good fish on light hollow the line could cut through the laccy and you loose the lot?

Paul, big thanks for this video as its really helped me sort out my lazzy choice for my new Daiwa Tourny Pro X. Big favour to ask though , could you tell me how you have your Match kits set up ie do you take out the No1 or do you cut it back and what maximum size Hydro would you be happy to put through the Match kits? By the way, really enjoyed your recent articles in the Pole Fishing magazines and would love to see more.

Won't the line on your rigs cut through the elastic easier than a dacron
