It's minus 4 outside and bloody freezing here in the Upper Southern Tablelands. Dropped in to remind myself what a real Christmas feels like: "they say it's gonna be a hundred degrees, even more maybe, but that won't stop the roast." Nothing ever stops the roast. Family, good food, singing, dancing, the treasure and the trash, laughter, love, forgiveness, the clan. Clan is everything. Gravy is Australia's Christmas Carol - they'll still be singing this in a hundred years. Thanks PK. You are up there with the Banjo xo PS: Luca Brasi makes damn good gravy too :)

No. No he's not. He might be YOUR favourite Aussie songwriter, but objectively there are many Aussie songwriters that were more talented AND more successful. I'd put Paul in the top 20 for sure. But you can't tell me he's better than the likes of Neil Finn, Tim Rogers, Doc Neeson, George Young, Don Walker, Glen Shorrock, Richard Clapton, Jeff Lang, Judith Durham, Tim Freedman, John Farnham, Darren Hayes, Casey Chambers, Ian Moss, Andrew Farris or Micheal Hutchins just to throw some quick names out off the top of my head. Sorry if that's a dick thing to say, but so is calling Paul Kelly Australia's greatest songwriter.
