Yep I studied philosophy at the University of Adelaide and thought philosophy was not taught in a systematic chronological way. Also my lecturers were fashion victims just as much as Bolshevik or Nazi intelligentsia. One should not form opinions unless one uses reason or knowledge to do so. Ideological entrenchment is the issue. It also infects the State and Commonwealth Public Service. What is peverse or not can be slowly eroded and desensitized by the media, public relations and advertising. TV for example is bombarding is with soft porn, political correctness and woke ideology that requires not individual moral virtue but blames structures which must be pulled down.
