Just heard this for the first time after it was played on an episode of “Colin from accounts”. Truly wonderful; sad and joyous at the same time. You can play me out to this when the time comes 🥲

My beautiful father passed away in August 2021 and my beautiful mother passed away in October 2021 an unbearably tough few months. They had to go but our whole family are ripper apart by their loss. This beautiful song was performed by all these beautiful men with their equally beautiful voices at the AACTA Awards a few years ago in the in memoriam segment. Haunting and pure perfection. 💝🇦🇺

This song is about a relationship between two people ,David n God . How David describes God as He is everything that he ever wants. He himself a shepherd yet he refers to God as his own shepherd. None has ever close to him as God has been to him . He is with him as he goes through the darkest hours, He protects him He prepared a table full of the best food that he could ever had in the mist of his enemies. His cup runs over, that God never wants to let go of him but stay in His presence for He enjoys your company. No matter where you been or how you feel. Its funny how people use this palm as a funeral scripture. It is a discribtion of a love relationship between God n you. Where are you with your relationship with God today. That we should walk with Him while we alive not to the death but for the living.

Sure tripod is good, but there's something about Paul Kelly's leading voice that gives it more feeling and depth for me.

@@KZbinallowedmynametobestolen . We all respond to different music differently. Sometimes it is best, or more respectful, to simply not respond and allow others to express their feelings --- without judgment. I heard this piece only recently and do not need anyone to remind me "of the treasury of music out there in the world". Perhaps others are fully aware of that "treasury".

Wow how comforting is this song in the middle of this awful kaos. I literally could not sleep for days and was up worrying for Jills safety my heart just bleeds for her husband and family! So sad and upsetting this outcome is but there is peace knowing she is safe in the arms of Jesus! She is at peace now with past family, friends and loved ones all around her. RIP beautiful Jill Meagher!

This is wonderful singing. It's a shame that the song seems to be about something as silly as "The Rapture." For thousands of years adherents of the Bible read the Bible, lived by it, analyzed it, discussed it, and prayed for guidance to understand it. Yet somehow none of them came up with this goofy idea. NO ONE before the early 1800's even had this concept in their minds. Thousands of true believers read the Bible cover to cover multiple times and never got the message that this thing now called The Rapture was going to happen. Some goofball in the first half of the 19th century came up with this interpretation, and now ... Well, now we have these talented gentlemen singing songs about it. They might as well be singing about invisible pink unicorns.

Hi It should never have been called ׳The Rapture’ because it is the first resurrection of the dead in Christ! AND ‘We which are alive ( At Christs second coming) will be caught up together with them TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR, and so we will ever be with the Lord’ 1 Thes.13:18. Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua returning soon to reign over the world government from Jerusalem
