I think what arm wrestlers need is arm bands where there are tactile sensors from their wrists to their elbows so that if they remove their elbows from the pad it beeps or if the player pinned the other player to the pad it beeps, that'll be slightly more accurate than having an official/referee to have visual sights on them. Technologies have advanced so much that it might be possible.

@Siberius- Жыл бұрын
The rankings work via the competitor taking the place of specifically who they beat. It's essentially a little rankings game. This is how you just have straight forward objective rankings. If you want a ranking system that is more akin to asking someone "who's your top 15?", then it's just going to be completely subjective and change depending on who you ask, and be VERY complicated and difficult to justify and respect. That's why it's done the way it is. It works perfectly in the way it was intended to work, nothing is "destroyed", that doesn't even make sense.
@lovetownsend Жыл бұрын
@@Siberius- Good point, never thought of it like that. Yeah armwrestling can be so polarizing, just a different day that week and the other guy who lost can win.
@alantryhard8632 Жыл бұрын
@@Siberius- in short they made the rankings a good bit confusing, Revaz who wasn't considered in the top 5, completely leveled up and destroyed dave, Now the thing is we don't know if Revaz has leveled up that much or dave has leveled down that much, Revaz beat dave even worse than levan..
@Siberius- Жыл бұрын
@@lovetownsend - It's a complete mess. It's impossible to do a subjective ranking in order of who is the "best". That would be a nightmare to work out... Frequently we see person-X losing to someone, but that person they beat, has beaten the person who person X lost to. Then add a few more intertwined people with "random" wins and loses. It's a styles make matches issue, unless you're Levan lol (or some people in other divisions I think). But then also who ever does the best against Levan, people start to consider that person to be the 2nd best, but that's also potentially just a styles make matches thing... Then yea sometimes it's not their day, or they were sick, or didn't make the optimal decisions, etc. then could win the rematch. Just has to be a little game to get to the top of the leader board.
