Mario not only touched it 91 & 92, he skated with it in 91. In 2008 Crosby DID NOT touch the trophy and the Pens lost. He touched it the following year in 09 and they won. And like you stated, he touched in 16 & 17, 2 more Cups.

@@joeheid2776 didn't remember if he had or not figured 4 very recent examples was enough. Stamkos didn't touch it in 15 which I'm guessing is why they went the touching route in 20,21,22. Which is probably why Florida didn't this year as they did last year.

Lol i remember way back in the day when paul coached the canes in the finals vs the Wings . Watching little clips of him i couldnt help but like the guy . The more i see of him the more i reaize its because hes definitely a lot like me at least vocabulary wise lol.

@@IAATUB some touch it and some don’t. We touched it last year and got stomped in the finals and this year we didn’t touch and won it all. Everyone has their superstitions. Oilers didn’t touch theirs and they lost in the finals so it’s all a mindset I think
