I remember when the beatles first appeared on Tele in 63 - we loved them not only for the songs but the sense of humour! 'What do you call that haircut Ringo??' ' Fred' came the prompt reply. The same sort of left field stuff that Monty Python came out with a few years later - wonderfull.

We all know about Paul's Hofner Bass, but the piano Jools is playing was painted for Paul by The Fool about 50 years ago and he still tours with it to this day. His instruments are almost as legendary as he is! If I'm right also the acoustic guitar he uses on stage is the Epiphone Texan he composed Yesterday on?

I read that when they were rehearsing this band for their first outing (1990 I think) they were playing All my loving and the guitarist (Rusty) played a little extra flourish at the end of the solo. After the song, Paul went over and said quietly "Only a Beatle can write a Beatle solo, can you play it straight please"
