Chaos and Creation in the Backyard is probably Paul McCartney's best album of the 21st Century and most definitely the finest. Memory Almost Full makes a very close second place.

CHAOS is absolute perfection (with help from Nigel Godrich) IMO but a very somber record for the most part. I like Memory Almost Full also and it is a more commercial record.

wholly agree, it is so real. I have nothing against paul's usually more whimsical + poppie sentiments, but this so so organic and yummy and real!

I keep saying this. I think it will be known as his last great album. It’s rare he makes a genuine effort and the producer on this album really pushed him to go for quality over quantity.

It's incredible how well the lyrics that go "i thought that i was lost, i thought i'd never find" and so, fit with that part of the melody, giving a kind o desperate feeling, and then when he says "someone else as kind as you" the melody gets sweeter, like a sense of relief. Great great job, Paul.

In my opinion, this is one of the best songs McCartney has ever composed.

Paul should have progged this song out. Not all your songs have to be radio friendly. This song isn’t long enough. The musical idea of this song is so good and the lyrics are heartfelt, I believe a long 2 minute musical interlude is needed to carry the wonderful feeling it induces. When it ends, I feel like like I need more. Just sayin.

This album is so good! Much less poppy, so much more real and homely and warm at a deeper level! :)

Great album made by the greatest songwriter/singer/composer of anytime. Now and in the future. There is only one genius that comes along in a lifetime and that’s Sir Paul McCartney. ❤️
