This song should have gone higher than #25 on the charts. Should have been a top 5 hit.

fusion of sadness and a melodic rock song. only Paul would do it. and that is how you define greatness.

He sang this on his 1989-1990 tour. Flowers In the Dirt was the LP he was promoting. Saw this show and it was the first time he sang many Beatles songs. The Tripping the Live Fantastic album is this tour. I highly recommend it.

Load of bollocks. The soundtrack doesn't match the video. Great soundtrack, great video but they didn't happen at the same time.

Bill? Who's bill? Oh you mean billy shears? Paul replacement? Yeah, I guess "bil" did a good job. Fuck off with that nonsense, I'm not gonna list all the reasons why replacing Paul would've been impossible, cause that would take me an insane amount of time and I really don't have time nor the energy deal with you. Here's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna ask you to leave and stop spreading false rumors about Paul. The paul is Dead rumor was debunked by the same guy who started it years ago, give it up mate. Paul is still alive, get over it.

I have always thought - being an "avid " beatles fan that was some kind of reference to paul trying to be brave about john " dying and quite rightly so but then you get the beautiful " if you were here today" unbeatable tribute xxxx

Sounds more like a lost lover song but who knows. I was lucky to hear this and figure of eight live in NJ around the time it came out. Two of his best post fab songs IMHO.

The principal lead track on the recording had an electric 12-string, not an acoustic 12-string. Another way you know this was lip-synched. A more energetic bass line as well....absent here even in mime.
