I was only 10 years old at the time when I saw this video on MTV, just learning about how rock and roll worked, and I thought they were out to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the greatest rock and roll band ever assembled! It looked a crowd on stage--2,000 guitar players, five drummers (I know I'm exaggerating, but that's what it looked like to me!) Some of these guys were from bands I'd already seen on MTV, like the Pretenders and Elvis Costello. I thought, "this must be what rock and roll heaven" looks like!"
