He was so dedicated to making a Rupert project, the first business move he made the day after The Beatles broke up was purchasing the film rights.

Denny Laine voice is clearly audible on backing vocals along with Linda. This was recorded with the last incarnation of Wings in 1979 or 1980, I think. Interestingly a Rupert cartoon was the first project that Paul had in mind in April 1970 just after he announced The break-up of The Beatles.

The lyrics I hear: Once upon a time, there was a young white bear called Rupert Leave the paper on a run away Bring it back on summers day Too late for love that let the world go round But it can be done Ruuuupert will be singin’ a song Ruuuupert will be rolling along Ruuuupert will be singin’ a song of love La la la la la la la la la Lo la lo lo ro wa ay La la la la la la la la la But it can be done Ruuuupert will be singin’ a song Ruuuupert will be rolling along Ruuupert will be singin’ a song of love Plays with roman on a real long time Pieces only coming back Life of love and love is all away But it can be done Ruuuupert will be singin’ a song Ruuuupert will be rolling along Ruuuupert will be singin’ a song of love Oooooo Rupert ooooooo Oh now ruuuupert will be singin’ a song Ruuuupert will be rolling along Ruuuupert will be singin’ a song of love He lived with his mother and father in the village of Nutwood (I know parts are definitely wrong but this is just what it sounds like lol)

It's almost certain these are temporary lyrics, which is why the diction is so poor.

Soy recontra fanático de Paul y esta canción me genera una sensación de nostalgia única. Melodía repetitiva pero hermosa a la vez.

I was in the studio when they were recording Rupert the bear and I confirm they were doing it in 1986 after the Frog Chorus. Whether this was extra tracks, recordings or this I'm not sure.

Well Denny Laine is on this and Wings broke up in 1981 plus at least Rupert Song is dated to the 70’s so it would’ve been overdubs.

Again & again such delightful melodies- would be great to have this remastered, the variety of instruments, especially the mellotron(?) flowing throughout the song is magical.

I just don’t understand why i can’t listen to this album legitimately on Spotify or elsewhere. It’s a good album, and it’s made by Paul McCartney who is arguably our most famous living musician. Why not release it? Is it a rights issue? Does it technically belong to whoever was making the Rupert animation?
