Sadly, there _is_ an end, and it came for Denny Laine yesterday (5 December 2023). He's the leftmost one on the _London Town_ album cover above. He died of interstitial lung disease. Laine was also a founding member of the Moody Blues. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with that band in 2018, and he also gets a songwriting credit - alongside Paul McCartney, of course - for _With A Little Luck._ It is always sad when an artist dies...

I discovered this song while i was taking down my cats Lost Cat posters. Such a good feeling. And this song was the icing on the cake. Found him after 15 days, 18 hours on Thanksgiving 2023 at 2am. The next night, i went out taking all the posters and flyers down when this came on the radio. Thank you Cool 101.7

En effet quelle fraicheur de jeu, quelle attitude positive. J'ai toujours aimé la contribution de Denny Laine aux Wings, sa voix, ses rythmiques acoustiques comme sur Mull of Kintyre Children children, Don't let it bring you down.. Café on the left Bankest si puissant si rock... London town est une pièce majeure, un album qui marqua l'année 78, une empreinte à ma jeunesse. Love !

One of my favorite Paul McCartney and Wings songs. Just beautiful how it blends together. The Rhodes and synthesizers in harmony. 🎵🎵🎹🎹🎹

I didn't care SO much for this song when it first came out - the Fender Rhodes, the mindlessly sunny optimism, weak lyrics like "the willow turns its back on inclement weather" (um, trees have backs?) - but here I am turning up the volume when the song comes on in my McCartney stream on KZbin. Very good song! Beautiful!

One of the few memories I have as a small child was listening to song with the headphones yelling to my mom little luck and she would put it on for me. I'm 50 and it still listening just now I don't yell for my mom to play it.
