Paul McCartney - Split Kisses - «Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive»

El jueves 9 de febrero de 2012 en Hollywood, en los Estudios Capitol de California tuvo lugar el concierto presentacion del disco de Sir Paul McCartney "Kisses on the Bottom". Parte del concierto fue publicado en iTunes como "Kisses on the Bottom:Live from Capitol Studios", mientras que el concierto completo y editado fue publicado posteriormente en DVD y Blu Ray como "Live Kisses". Este trabajo es basicamente la union, a pantalla partida, de esos dos videos. A pesar de alguna pequeña diferencia de calidad entre ambos videos creo que es interesante ver que esta haciendo la pianista mientras Paul está cantando , que está haciendo Paul mientras esta sonando el solo de guitarra , etc ....

Sir Paul McCartney’s "Kisses on the Bottom" live album was released in the UK on 6 February 2012. A streaming free live performance was hosted by iTunes on 9 February 2012 as "Kisses on the Bottom:Live from Capitol Studios". Then the whole and edited concert was released in DVD and Blu Ray as "Live Kisses".
This work is basically the join, on split screen, of both videos.
Despite some little quality difference between both videos I think it is interesting watching what is the pianist doing while Paul is singing, what is Paul doing while the guitar solo, etc....
I hope you enjoy this "Split Kisses" as much as I did editing it =)

PAUL MCCARTNEY - Accentuate the Positive Siriusly Sinatra satellite radio is playing a favorite track from Paul McCartney's “Kisses on the Bottom” album of standards (and should-have-been-standards his musical father enjoyed) - a Johnny Mercer lyric that is among my favorites, (You've Got To) ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE. Or as it was titled on the original sheet music, “Ac-Cent-Chuate The Positive.” Music by one of Johnny Mercer's greatest collaborators Harold Arlen. They were nominated for Best Original Song Oscar multiple times. At the 18th Academy Awards for movies in 1945, it lost - to my favorite film song by Rodgers & Hammerstein, It Might As Well Be Spring. That year there were 14 nominated songs - a record - and, as Wikipedia notes, Being the first Oscars after the end of World War II, the ceremony returned to the glamour of the prewar years; notably, the plaster statuettes that had been used during the war were replaced by bronze statuettes with gold plating. Paul McCartney's 2012 cover of Accentuate the Positive is still my favorite: his vocal swings beautifully - you can hear the smile in his voice as he savors great jazz accompaniment from Diana Krall on piano and John Pizzarelli's (7-string) rhythm guitar. The music was written by Harold Arlen and the lyrics by Johnny Mercer. The song was nominated for the "Academy Award for Best Original Song" at the 18th Academy Awards in 1945 after being used in the film Here Come the Waves. It is sung in the style of a sermon, and explains that accentuating the positive is key to happiness. In describing his inspiration for the lyric, Mercer told the Pop Chronicles radio documentary "[my] publicity agent ... went to hear Father Divine and he had a sermon and his subject was 'you got to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.' And I said 'Wow, that's a colorful phrase!'" On March 25, 2015, it was announced that Mercer's version would be inducted into the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry for the song's "cultural, artistic and/or historical significance to American society and the nation’s audio legacy".
