If Elvis walked in that door now, Paul would be like a little boy again looking at Elvis with the same awe.

YES, EXACTLY. Paul would faint(no homo). Paul never forgot where his influence came from. It seemed that when you are older, you think back about those teenage years with more nostalgia. Paul hugely misses seeing Elvis movies with John Lennon. Paul loves Elvis's music. He would always be a fan until his death. It was the music of Elvis that led Paul and thousands of British kids to pick up the guitars and formed rock n roll bands. If Elvis was still alive today, I could see him doing collaborations with Paul McCartney. I think they could had become great friends. Especially in the 21st century world where Elvis probably wouldn't care about this new strange stranger music and would probably fit right at home with the old Beatles music. They could had done duets and stuff like that in concerts if Elvis was still alive. Anyways, Paul would always respect Elvis for what he done to music, no Elvis=no Beatles. It was Elvis mass appeal that brought rock n roll into the masses.

Love this story. So many of us who grew up outside America, craving to see Elvis in concert, performing his early rock songs. Seeing him in a movie, was not the same.

Based on my observations of Paul, he is no mental midget. That's a really short sighted thing to say about someone you don't really know. As for a comparison between Paul and Elvis, if it wasn't for Elvis, there would be no rock and roll at all. Elvis not only had one of the greatest voices ever heard, but he was also one of the best looking males to inhabit the earth. He had charisma and great musical abilities. If only Elvis focused more on being a better musician with guitar and songwriting.

Without Elvis no rock and roll? That’s absurd. How about Chuck Berry, Little Richard, BUDDY HOLLY, who inspired the Beatles and rock music muuuch more than Elvis.

@@profile2047 Hardly, without Elvis's massive success, no one would have known who they even were. People heard Elvis first, afterwards then people discovered them. That's the order by which it all happened. God lots of people like you that don't know the history.

@@profile2047 Here's a bit of trivia for you. Which one of those guys had a hit before Elvis? None of them. Heartbreak Hotel was first. Name any rock and roll song that was a top 10 hit before Elvis. You can't because Elvis was first. Elvis May 17, 1956 Little Richard Dec 20 1956 Buddy Holly Dec 12, 1957. Chuck Berry June 27, 1957. Nobody knew who Chuck Berry or Buddy Holly were until a full 2 years of Elvis being one of the biggest acts in the world. But go ahead and keep repeating fake news to yourself. Lennon said before Elvis there was nothing. Bob Dylan heard Elvis for the first time and said it was like breaking out of jail. I'm telling you because I know and read and talked to lots of people who were there, Elvis was the first and was massively influential to the big bang of rock and roll.

@@profile2047 Seriously you need to read your history. Do you know more than the Beatles? They said there wouldn't be Beatles without Elvis. John said before Elvis there was nothing. And those people you mentioned: All said Elvis opened the door for them. And Chuck had his own sound [more like R&B] same as Elvis had his own sound [Elvis said it was mainly country] . I wouldn't say there wouldn't be R&R without Elvis: would it had ever became popular? Today we would probably still be listening to the Sinatra stuff if it wasn't for Elvis. So you want to tell someone they are absurd when your totally wrong?

George saw Elvis again in November 1971. George was in New York to work on the Bangla Desh concert film and record. Elvis was appearing at MSG and George scored a backstage pass to the show. They talked for a few minutes backstage after the show. George thanked Elvis for doing a version of the song "Something" in his live shows and Elvis told George how much he liked the song.

Check Paul McCartney's last intreview with Larry King. Larry who knew Elvis was Lennon;s favourite rocker, asked him, not once, but twice, who was his, thinking perhaps Paul would say, as he'd done in the past, that it was Little Richard, Buddy Holly, the Everlys, or specially , Eddie Cochrane, "Elvis was", he said, and when Larry added, " The King" , Paul said it again, "Yes, , absolutely". .

My mum was convinced if Elvis had gotten rid of the col in 1960, he would’ve been a rival to the Beatles in the 60s, free to make whatever music he wanted do as well as whatever movies he wanted to do, imagine the Beatles and Elvis duetting at Woodstock, that’s the only thing you would see in the heaven/afterlife

ELVIS 😇❤️ was A GIVER 🤑🏡🚙🍔🐕💎💍💰 WITH A VERY BIG HEART 💜 TOWARDS SO MANY PEOPLE 😈🤩 OF VARIOUS ETHNICITY AND TOWARDS A LOT OF CHARITIES 🤑 ELVIS 😇💝 was MULTI-TALENTED AND A TRIPLE THREAT He was an very gifted, natural, and underappreciated vocalist 🎤 dancer 🩰 choreographer 🩰 musician music 🎶 arranger/composer/producer and actor who co-wrote some songs. Out of the 32-33 pictures that Elvis was starting in, ten 🕙 of the movies 🍿 were considered pretty good 👍 Elvis showed that he could act really well ❤️‍🩹 in serious roles and in comedies. Elvis had a photographic memory/was very intelligent 🤓 He memorized the entire script and all of his co-stars' lines. Unfortunately, Paul 🤩 and a lot of the movie 🍿 audience and the entertainment industry usually prefer seeing Elvis in musicals. Elvis was held back 🔙 and put in a box 🎁 as an actor and an artist 😂 which was one of the underlying factors that contributed to his clinical depression, anxiety, and frustration. A physically ill 🤒 Elvis who was in a lot of physical pain for a long time 😢 and who had numerous very serious genetic and inherited medical conditions every since birth was financially supporting 🤑 so many Freeloaders 🆓 Heartless LIARS Judas gold 🥇🪙 we diggers leeches/mooches 💸💰 and scoundrels 😈 for a very long time. Elvis grew up dirt poor 😢 He basically learned to play ▶️ the piano 🎹 guitar 🎸 bass 🎸 harmonica ukelele and drums on his own. Meanwhile, Paul expand and grew as a songwriter and musician. He lived a lot longer and is and was healthier ❤️‍🩹 than Elvis.

He wasn't suggesting it was strange for him to see him acting, but rather showing his impatience for what he CERTAINLY knew was coming, which was the moment when Elvis would sing the first of four songs he ALSO knew were in the movie. I also disagree with your comparison with the "Lemonade" bit. There's just no way to recreate a song such as "We;re gonna move" without doing the highs and the lows, as he does. . And the greatest rocker pound for pound is Elvis, not Paul. Even Paul agrees.

SOMETHING THAT PAUL FAILS TO ACKNOWLEDGE, IS THE GENEROSITY ELVIS SHOWERED ON NOT ONLY HIS FREINDS BUT ANYONE HE THOUGHT HE COULD HELP. MONEY DIDN'T SEEM TO BE HIS GOD. HE SAID THAT COULD ALWAYS MAKE MORE. THIS FACT IN ITSELF SET HIM WAY ABOVE ANY CELEBRITY OF HIS TIME , OR EVEN TO THIS DAY. HIS HEART OF GOLD CAN HARDLY BE MATCHED, LET ALONE HIS INCREDIBLE IMAGE
