I have a thesis about Paul McCartney that, in my opinion counts for him alone (maybe Ringo too, but not really) and it's the following: Paul can walk to any professionally active musician, no matter what style, age, instrument, or sucess level, ask them if they want to make music together, they will say yes. No exception.

Paul is also incredibly disarming to others he works with. They are usually nervous and say he has them completely relaxed and having fun in a couple of minutes. Then they make incredible music together. He's a truly special guy in so many ways.

I trend a small ELCA Lutheran church where I have been a member for roughly 8 years. Since I'm legally blind, there are some hymns that I don't know some of the words to. What do I do? Don't tell anybody, but I sometimes swap in the words "boing" or "boingy" for words I don't know. I have also replaced all the lyrics in "Joyful, Joyful" with the repeated line, "I am really very sorry, but I just don't know the words", which fits the cadence and melody perfectly. I ding all of it quietly so I don't mess up anybody else or make them laugh :)

The part of the song that changes meter was written by John Lennon. Paul needed a middle 8 and John had a song fragment. They often wrote like that. Also, the Beatles loved 3/4 time, especially John. A lot of their songs even started out in 3/4 time and morphed in the studio to 4/4.

why would that be amazing, since he IS Left handed, it would be natural. What is amazing is the many Paul impersonators in Beatles Tribute bands who are RIGHT handed but take the time and trouble to learn how to play the bass and guitar LEFT HANDED so the illusion is more believable. It just doesn't look right if a tribute band has a right handed "Paul". Looks weird with all the guitars going in the same direction.

Early 1990s MTV's unplugged series featured some of most unforgettable and amazing performances from rock artists - (started with impromptu performance by) Bon Jovi, Clapton, Nirvana, Kiss (maybe one of their best shows), Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and many others. Eh... Another great TV program forgotten and destroyed to make room for more plastic pulp. (Tearful sigh)

NOT true, he didn't forget them on purpose. He has said many times in interviews that he often watched the front rows of people at his concerts when he forgets the words because the fans know the words better than he does. Think about it...even though he WROTE the song, he has not been listening to his own records as much as we fans do, and singing along with them. Plus it is one of those songs where the lyrics are hard to remember WHERE they are in the song. SO he didn't do it on purpose.

Both Paul and Ringo are left handed. Both had to learn on right handed instruments. Paul would, a teenager, turn the guitar upside down and play ... Self taught. Now less than 1 in 10 people are lefties so odds are against a group of four having one left paw. The odds of 2 in 4 AND being The Beatles are mind-bendingly long. Another really unusual thing about the fab four.
