Gotta agree- his vocals were spot on, just enough rawness and grit by design, and the rest, Pure McCartney!

+Robert Wolford best way to do it. This band is awesome Haven't seen them but saw the first USA tour in 76 tix $9.50. High in those days, 92-93- $35. That was this tour. Now-$150 and up. That 950 I spent mine blowing tour couldn't buy nosebleed section to see just to see one tune now! But he still rocking, still putting out the music and even staying on the cutting edge of technology. Check out what he's doing with virtual reality-

Why has the the entertainment factor and quality of composition , production, presentation, musicality gone backwards????? I feel so privileged to have been raised in this era of the the greatest entertainers ever. Sir Paul is just one of many artists that will stand the test of time and our great grandchildren will be shaking their heads in wonder exclaiming as my 20 yo kids do, " I wish I was growing up in that era." Cheers, Luke Everingham.

he had only one band, the beatles. wings was not a real band, it was the "brand" he used for his solo albums in the 70s. sure, he had a bunch of employees, but they changed from record to record, and they were no more a band than the guys from 89 to 93. if anything the current band since 2002 deserves the name a lot more than the guys from the 70s. the closests wings was to being a real band was the 1976 tour that became wings over america and the rock show video. that formation at least lasted two albums and a whole tour.

As long as it's clear that Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novel "Live and Let Die". As long as it's clear that Paul and Linda McCartney were both nominated for an Academy Award (Oscar) and Grammy Award for Best Original Song (with the emphasis on *original* ) for writing this song for the James Bond movie with the same name. As long as it's clear that timeless musical genius triumphs musical fads and pretenders. As long as all that is clear to people this will remain a timeless classic, and the ones making covers will disappear from history.

@pelgervampireduck4 жыл бұрын
@@nindo-4270 first, it wasn't a real band, it was paul's brand for his solo albums in the 70s. the formation changed a lot almost every year and every record, only denny lane was permanent and he had no charisma, he wasn't a great guitar player like george or somebody that could be paul's equal like john. it was paul and his employees, not a proper band like the beatles, queen, the doors, led zeppelin... the wings albums have three good songs and the rest is filler. those three good songs per album are usually great and some are even comparable to beatles stuff, but it wasn't like beatles album where every song was good and they had one or two filler songs per album and the other 12 were good. even the best albums like band on the run or venus and mars are weak compared to beatles albums. the closest wings was to being a real band and really good was the 1976 tour, the wings over america era, too bad it didn't last and the studio albums don't reflect how good the live versions are. just listen to "letting go", "let me roll it" or "beware my love" in wings over america and then check out the studio versions... the live versions are a million times better. even "band on the run" and "jet" are always better live (with any backup band, wings, the 89-93 band, or the current band).
