Rassie is an entertainer, shrewd engineer, and clearly likes to have a laugh - many of the characteristics our sometimes bland sport needs. He’s undermined my country NZ on quite a few occasions but all is fair in love and war.

I'm a saffa living in Ireland for 14 years. Paul is top class! Does tons for youth rugby and a top bloke! Honest fear-free answers, speaks his mind and appreciates what Rassie says for what it is. It's all just a bit of fun! When the first whistle blows, it all becomes irrelevant! It's a real shame that Gibson-Park and Hugo K are missing as I do think it weakens the the Irish team, but saying that it's the same wrt Damien Willemse. Looking forward to a great match!

I doubt it's about intimidation. He's getting as much attention as possible, getting people invested and talking so it's the biggest event it can be. It also shields the players a bit with a lot of the focus on him and external noise. He's always done this
