Paul often spoke of his mortality in a matter of fact way. He referred to his dicky ticker often saying he could go at any moment. He didn’t seem sentimental and I also agree, he didn’t realise how much he was loved. Massive loss to a lot of us.

I have suffered terribly with depression and self esteem issues most of my adult life .. there were times my mental health was at an all time low - particullarly during the time when Paul had his tea time show on Channel 4 ... I cannot thank this beautiful kind man enough for the smiles and laughter he gave me during some of the most darkest times in my life , even if it was just for an hour - it was like spending time with an dear friend - there was no pretense or ego - just a lovely kind genuine human being My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Andre as he continues to navigate the road ahead . When you have been in a relationship with a love one for many, many years and you love them dearly throughout that time and when your partner passers away i know all to well the impact it has on your life because i was with my dear Philip for 18 years before he died and it truly left a great big hole in my heart as to where he had been. My beautiful passed away in 2021 and that is nearly 3 years ago and the tears have flown ever since because Grief and sorrow is not a one of and can go on for years on end and Philip is still in my memory to this day. ♥️💛💙🧡🤎💚

I'm staying strong as that's what he'd expect but the new life is not what I'd of chosen. I count my blessings for what we had and what I still have to come.
