Leeland Thompson insane playing! Is there any song you are playing in the beginning of the video or just messing around? Either way it sounds awesome!

This is why I wanna learn guitar. Not to get on somebody's record and be on some huge stage, but to practice and years down the road hopefully be able to sit around and get sounds like this. I could listen to the homie just jam and switch up grooves for 2 hrs. Real talk. Nothin too fancy and out there, just smooth sounds and chord changes that are MUSICAL. All a cat like me need!
@alejandrocisneros74425 жыл бұрын
Not that hard. Just learn the major,blues,minor/major pentatonic, Bebop scales. Then learn arpeggios and some spicy jazz chords like 7th,M7,9th,maj9th. And learn some of your favorite songs and learn how to syncopate like Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayer. And then you are golden! Oh yeah and don't forget to learn rhythm and a bit of funk. Check some John frusciante or Nuno Bettencourt! Well at least you have a map to where to start! I didn't have one but I can hang 😁 now.

I have played for 23 years and it is just a wonderful journey into another world. The more you play, the more vocabulary you build. Using your familiarity with notes you can craft whatever suites your mood for the day. There are also a lot of surprises that come about which is why creativity is so much fun. Such a big world to explore and so many people going on their own separate journeys. Listening to what others have discovered and the passion they have for music just makes me feel like I'm part of a family.

Nice to hear a gospel sounding demo for this guitar. Plenty of great rock demos out there, but this is more along the lines of the sound that are useful for me at my church.

Man that was some great picking and playing from Leeland! The PRS Silver Sky sounds "Fantastic"! Paul Reed and John Mayer really nailed down the pickups in this guitar! To say they are impressive is quite an understatement! :-) Hello Eric Martin! I need to come to Memphis and visit you in the store for sure sometimes this summer! Hope all is well for you and your family and all the staff at the store! Eric is there even a hint of discussion about offering this bad boy in a Left-Handed model! :-) Mac Baker

Sounds like a cheap strat. Maybe it's because all gospel cat's only ever play through the digital effects processors and never really learn to develop touch and tone?
@Lfloydmusiq4 жыл бұрын
I only use analog pedals which is what I used during the recording of this video. Nothing digital about it. Touch and tone comes straight from the hands. Gospel cats??? No sir I play every genre of music professionally
