The Word of God is not bound. 2 Tim. 2:9. Paul’s chains gave him contact with another group of people, including governors and judges. Paul forced a court official to investigate the claims of the Christian faith. God used Paul to spread the doctrine of Christ. Paul looked upon his circumstances as an opportunity for the spread of the gospel. The word “teach” does not mean preach but everyday conversation. Paul took every opportunity to spread knowledge of Christ, His followers spoke boldly about Christ!
