My neighbor gave me some cuttings that are all different colors. Have them written down by color. One he put as "raspberry" grew a two sided growth. And one that's been planted for 8 months is starting to rot and grow like your delight. The base is Woody concerned me at first but it's still growing fine. Florida 9b

Bummer. I've seen plants continue to grow with damage at the base... Some hang on and some thrive. I tend to cut it off if possible and re-root the plant if possible.

@@RAREDRAGONFRUIT I don't mind but it's such a slow grower and with the "winter" coming not sure how it will act

@@ShaggyDogg0128 After 2 seasons the plants will start to grow in the winter. My 2 year old cuttings hava a lot of new growth right now. Your climate is another factor and temperature too. Our climate here dips into the high 30's on occasion for short durations.

Very interesting. Also when you say dwarf grower, does it mean it grows thin or that it grows slow?

I'd like to know too. It sounds like they are smaller and shorter branches. But there isn't anymore details in Paul Thompson's book.

It is very hard to find international sellers. Look locally and for growers closest to you. Check Facebook for 3 Lucky Mountains Dragon Fruit. Good luck!

It depends on the variety. If the flower was cross pollinated from another pollen source, the seeds will be hybrids. If the variety is self fertile... The seeds may develop similar to the parent plant.
