Thanks Bryan, I wished I had someone explain and did a taste review on all these varieties to me when I started growing Dragon Fruits so I wouldn't end up with so many varieties in my garden now. Hehe :) When you get the chance to bite into these mythical fruits you'll be in love at first bite!

Can Haley's Comet pollen be uses to pollinate Purple Haze? I bought cuttings of the Sugar Dragon to use as a "universal pollinator" as you suggested, but they won't be flowering for a long time. Thanks!

I hear a lot about how it closely resembles those fruits and I didn't think it would be that true to the taste. It blew my mind when I took a bite and those were the first flavors of comparison that popped up in my head! Definitely an amazing variety to have and eat! Yummy!

@@destinee9903 depending on your climate n care, around 2 yrs. people living in SoCal had some fruit within a year.

Hi Danny, thank you for watching. The time to harvest purple haze would be 3 weeks after it turns color to red. I don't have a specific date for them and kind of just follow the 2-3 weeks after color changes rule.

You possibly can, they are from the same genus. I know you can use dragon fruit pollen to cross pollination the night blooming cereus.

PURPLE HAZE IS A LARGE SWEET FRUIT WITH RELATIVELY FEW SEEDS. THE FRUIT WEIGH UP TO TWO POUNDS, AND THEY HAVE A PLEASANT GAPE, KIWI-LIKE FLAVOR. THIS VARIETY IS SELF POLLINATING, AND LIKE ALL OF THE OTHER MAGENTA FLESHED FRUIT IT WILL SET FRUIT ON ITS OWN.

Wow, that's amazing! Purple Haze variety is normally self-sterile so they can't produce fruits with its own pollen. You have a rare Purple Haze variety.
