I feel sad about the interviewer. Must be like hell.

To me, it seems they are flirting all along, so the commentators who think Weller was being rude are obviously wrong. He does take a piss out of the presenter, but it's all in good nature, and she's in for the ride. I wouldn't be surprised if they hooked up after the show.

I'm fairly confident she wasn't. He was though. Very clumsily and awkward

Paul could have answered her questions, think he took himself a it too serious here, primadona
@jfemonanon480910 жыл бұрын
he was the sarcastic ass, 2 word answers just to make an impact.......come on...Paul thought he could always pass on his charisma...but it didn't work here, he was so full of himself here...question at 2:13 was good....I hope he looked at this years later and cringed.. I know he did...he eventually grew up, it just took a while

When I first saw this, a few years back, I was like - LOL!! Watching it now, I think PW just comes over as rude, arrogant, and actually quite mean to the interviewer... I wonder what future me might think?

Weller: Musical genius- exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, and music. Socially inept- without skill or aptitude for a particular task, generally awkward or clumsy; haplessly incompetent- like when dealing with a teenage pop music show. Everytime I've seen him in an interview he belittles the interviewer.

I am not a huge Weller ego fan,but if your going to interview him at least ask decent questions! she got off light in my mind!

Yeah, that is kind of odd. lol. But i've got the same thing going on as well. Except, my dad is a year younger than Paul Weller. Who cares, i'm going to see him live in Seattle on April 15th. So i can't complain. =]

The problem with this clip is that it doesn't then show the performance of Funeral Pyre that they launch into straight afterwards. It is electric. It's an angry song anyway (it's about Nazis burning books) but wound up by this dreadful interview it really fucking explodes when they play it.

Indeed. The Jam are relevant today then ever. Now the Socialists are burning books. Flip the script. Bam!

lol he really does put her in her place. "can you believe this?" they are pretty stupid & pointless questions. i mean, who cares if they got eggs thrown at them in '77 in sweden? talk about the music, woman. she just doesn't seem to get it! lol :) and in reply to kukeen, i can believe that x

reply to seoulstar- so you don't like the Jam nor Style Council. Who cares. I love the Jam and Style Council made some marvelous songs and most people who reply here would agree. You have written what you wanted to say, so what else are you still doing here? Go and comment on the music you like (I don't even want to know, because I am not the kind of guy who pokes abuse at other people's tastes).
@blobboflava16 жыл бұрын
Why is she asking him about the difference between Swedish and English kids, taht is just pathetic! Seriously. But anyway, Paul Weller rocks, he takes his music seriously and he wants to talk about his music and not chit chat to some Swedish interviewer who should do a children's programme

U cannot say that selling a few albums means nuthing. England has the beatles, the rolling stones, the who- all of ur shitty music like metallica comes from here. Paul weller was pissed off about having to do an interview in the middle of their show- and yep that interview was asking some crap questions.

Got no heroes apart from my family just making a point in relation to arrogance of pop stars. As a martial artist myself profanities are something that is seen as a lack of discipline particularly when it is personal abuse. Not gonna get inot a slanging match with you it aint my bag.
