Steve white best drummer weller ever had from style council until he left in 2008, I would think every weller fan remembers watching this, whirlpools end to finish just blows me away eveytime

Steve's on Dee's solo tour and Ill leave you with one thought: the acid jazz label doesn't have enough money to guarantee Steve's free so somebody put it up in advance for rehearsals, recording a tour. Gee wonder who that might have been. I stoped listening at heavy soul but Out of the Sinking is masterpiece and could be done as ballad or jazz standard. People don't do that any more and the Manhattan Transfer just retired their brand out of respect for dead original members and no desire to send anything forth that never had the stamp of approval of any original member. sad.

I was 16 in 1996. I remember watching that version of Woodcutter son on some video compilation I had..... it really made an impression on what I thought music should be - it's super funky and the heat coming off Weller - enough energy to fuel a small town. Is that his dad playing guitar in the red shirt? thanks for the post! brings back memories....

broken stones is the most misunderstood hook of his. In the united states black prisoners were put on chain gangs with the stupid trask of breaking up rocks. This originated in France . Also When precious gems hit the market sometimes the best are broken up because the value of orignal large size is too great to hold. Usually it's broken by a wealthy family into matching jewelry that can yield higher market vallue and be hocked piece by piece if necessarry.
