Paul Weller should be considered one of the top singer songwriters of all-time. He was incredibly versatile. I mean he rapped on Cafe Bleu! His music will be played at my funeral. Long Hot Summer, Shout to the top, etc. There used to be a guy in Dallas who owned Bill's records and Tapes. He would sell these promotional demo CD's, and there was never a price on anything. You went to the counter, and he decided how much he was going to charge you. I have literally everything Weller ever produced. I flew from Dallas to NY on 3 hrs notice to see him at the Continental Club. Maybe I was 25? It was the first solo tour. Only die-hard Jam fans were there.
