I remember Paula repeatedly telling the press that she was leaving Bob anyway and that it had nothing to do with Michael. Her friend Jo Fairley backed this up in the article by Paula's friend Oliver James (Unruly Hearts - Word press). Jo said that Paula met her in her car on Christmas day 1993 and discussed the pros and cons of leaving Bob. One was her concern of finding someone to take her and all her kids. I think he was already out of love with Paula for a long time. Paula told the divorce court and press that Bob had had 6 affairs and that he met his girlfriend Jeanne a year before Paula left him, back in 1993. However, one of his affairs - Claire King - said they really did have an open marriage. Interview onlin and in her autobiography.
