Happy (Belated) Birthday to Paula Kelly. I wanted to get this video posted a couple days ago in celebration of Paula Kelly's birthday, but had internet issues.
Shared for historical purposes. I do not own the rights.

Paula Kelly (born October 21, 1943) is a dancer, singer, and actress in films, television and theatre. Kelly made her Broadway debut as Mrs. Veloz in the 1964 musical Something More!, sharing the stage with Barbara Cook. Her other Broadway credits include The Dozens (1969), Paul Sills' Story Theatre (1971), Ovid's Metamorphoses (1971), and Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies (1981) with Gregory Hines and Phyllis Hyman. - wikipedia

BOSS LADY,so very TRUE🙋🏾‍♀️ From 1970 - 1979 I was there from the aged of 2 till 11 years of aged to witness that Beautiful Decade. If,only I had Time Machine to revisit my childhood,during the 1970s. And I wished that I could have met the Elegant Paula Kelley🙏🏾💗🌹

@Jim Stark My dad has spoken on this. My grandfather was a shop owner who raised his whole family on the money he made in his grocery store. That would be highly unlikely in a black area now. We had our own then. It wasn't all bad, as you point out.

Endless thanks for uploading this. Paula Kelly's name/picture should be beside the word unsung. Her name is never mentioned among the great African-Americans pioneers of the arts! She has conquered so many genres of entertainment. I admit I had never heard of her until she appeared on Sanford & Son lol but even in that hilarious Afrocentric episode, she was captivating!

This made me cry. She was so poised, so polished, so pristine, so everything wonderful as a dancer. Wish that were me as a little girl with Paula at her dance academy. I love her so much! Rest in heavenly peace, Ms. Kelly. Thanks for all the precious memories and for inspiring me to dance.

I remember when DANCE was EVERYTHING. Debbie Allen ChANGED my LIFE. Me and my boy cousin would execute dance moves from FAME. This was so lovely thanks for sharing.

RIP Sister. I believe I've seen everything she was in. She was such a diverse actress and superb dancer. One of my favorite roles was when she appeared in Sanford and Son, Lamont wanted to join the African movement. She was excellent in the Women of Brewster Place, Sophisticated Ladies, and was funny in Uptown Saturday Night. She could play any role in any genre, including Broadway.

That's right Sanford & Son I remember watching that episode years ago. I remember watching movies that she was in,during the 1970s. The Andromeda Strain and Soylent Green,wow now that Soylent Green,with Co - star Charleston Heston Movie was eerie. I was recently watching the show Police Woman from the 1970s on DVD and she was on several episodes. Paula Kelley was Eloquent,Elegant and Beautiful🌹💗🙏🏾
