BOSS LADY,so very TRUE🙋🏾♀️ From 1970 - 1979 I was there from the aged of 2 till 11 years of aged to witness that Beautiful Decade. If,only I had Time Machine to revisit my childhood,during the 1970s. And I wished that I could have met the Elegant Paula Kelley🙏🏾💗🌹

@Jim Stark My dad has spoken on this. My grandfather was a shop owner who raised his whole family on the money he made in his grocery store. That would be highly unlikely in a black area now. We had our own then. It wasn't all bad, as you point out.

@@webbgems67 That would require putting the cell phone/device down and paying attention and maybe not getting the nails/hair done or buying $100 gym shoes and investing it in our children. Is it likely that we can do that en mass?

RIP Sister. I believe I've seen everything she was in. She was such a diverse actress and superb dancer. One of my favorite roles was when she appeared in Sanford and Son, Lamont wanted to join the African movement. She was excellent in the Women of Brewster Place, Sophisticated Ladies, and was funny in Uptown Saturday Night. She could play any role in any genre, including Broadway.
@lastdays31484 жыл бұрын
That's right Sanford & Son I remember watching that episode years ago. I remember watching movies that she was in,during the 1970s. The Andromeda Strain and Soylent Green,wow now that Soylent Green,with Co - star Charleston Heston Movie was eerie. I was recently watching the show Police Woman from the 1970s on DVD and she was on several episodes. Paula Kelley was Eloquent,Elegant and Beautiful🌹💗🙏🏾

@@lastdays3148 Yes she was, Last Days. She was also underrated. But those who are true to their art usually are. This lady was brilliant and multi talented, but she didn't seem to play the usual Hollywood game.

@@alexandradillard2077: She was quoted as saying in an interview from the mid '70s that she really wasn't interested in becoming a big star, and was more interesting in being in control of her work, or something like that.

Endless thanks for uploading this. Paula Kelly's name/picture should be beside the word unsung. Her name is never mentioned among the great African-Americans pioneers of the arts! She has conquered so many genres of entertainment. I admit I had never heard of her until she appeared on Sanford & Son lol but even in that hilarious Afrocentric episode, she was captivating!

the funniest part about that episode is how fast Lamont gave the African stuff when he found out he had to nice to Fred forever.
