I don't know how many of you have watched all of Paula's shows but I saw one where she actually lay down on the stage and did the show in that position . lol. I would think she has a pretty high IQ.Most of the really good comics are really sharp. Just to name a few; notice I used a semicolon, Rodney Dangerfield , Rita Rudner, Jim Gaffigan and Brian Regan.

@@cherylmcnutt9905 Ya.. Ya... ya.....👏 👍 Ain't punctuation & spelling fun, since 2000. Too many schools neither teach it well nor correct the students often enough, IMO. Not the teachers fault - top down gvmmt/admin force textbooks they use. [Bush jr], explain yourself. New World Order? 😲 Let their new I-devices automatically fix things!
@cherylmcnutt9905

@@jrbanks2983 Actually, being proficient in the English language IS fun. It’s a matter of taking pride in how you present yourself to the world…choosing to be literate or mentally illiterate. It’s up to each kid and their parents on how well they apply themselves in school. Blaming teachers is a cheap shot when We all know how overcrowded classrooms are, too many kids, too few teachers, and budgets so impoverished that teachers (who do NOT make enough money) have to shell out what little cash they have, because schools aren’t provided large enough budgets to get the job done.
@jrbanks2983

@@cherylmcnutt9905 Yikes.. I truly wasn't going down the 'Blame the teachers for all of it' bit. It's the gov & admin that chg things! So sorry. I've high regard for all teachers; I used to be one, retired now. (Back when we would diagram sentences, showing noun, verb, object etc) I literally didn't see this in textbooks or assignments since about 2005. It's not the teachers fault, certainly not fully. (And some teachers, now and past, IMO, should be textbook writers. IMO teachers should NOT be told by the state or feds "You WILL use these text books etc." (Soap box of mine.) I was/am more upset w educational trends, from top gvnmt down... treating teachers & schools w random abandon. I home schooled my 2 boys grades 1-6 cuz I wanted to pour into them self-motivation, critical thinking, and a solid foundation in writing (etc), math, physics, health, real history, some Latin, basics in art & music etc etc. They worked hard. One is a software engineer & one has a BS in math, w honors. (Credit to all 3 - parents, teachers & the boys.) Sorry my earlier comment offended or miffed you. That sentiment that upset you wasn't at all my angle. I am praying for the day the gvnmt does NOT hold ANY sway in the education of our children. I firmly believe teachers (pd way more) and parents should be the team that asserts & plans their curriculum. Cheers... 📝

Paula shows up on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me wearing a Pilgram's outfit. When asked why she was wearing it she replied 'I read this article or book on how to declutter your life and it said 'if you haven't worn a piece of clothing for over a year, throw it out.' Take from there. Her logic is impeccable and how she winds it into her comedy is true artistry.
