Compared to bits about how their hole is stinking like an animal-farm.... I actually chuckled once-or-twice. Perhaps that was just a surprise-reaction when hearing logic coming from a woman. :)
@thehussarsjacobitess854 жыл бұрын
@@JosiahWarren Nah, it's nurture, not nature. Women who have suffered socially like men and have never experienced chivalry have to choose between humour and rancor. Those that choose humour and of course train themselves to see absurdities are funny (and yes, alas, aside from Jeanne Robertson and Carol Burnett, I only personally know 2 women who fit this bill).

@R J Hey RJ. KZbin is limited to 1 thumbs up so here are some more 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. A bunch of people seem to be in love with this channel. Many because it is more right wing I guess. That doesn't escape the fact that almost all the acts are utter garbage. Like not even cruise ship warm up lame. This lady is like some MLM marketer for a popular adult products vendor or a sex ed. teacher trying to be cooool. Like a femalr David Brent. Self absorbed but not self aware.

@@punkisinthedetails1470 It's sad that common sense is branded right wing nowadays.
@punkisinthedetails14704 жыл бұрын
@@rauminen4167 these comedians all identify as right wing. That isn't the issue. The problem is they aren't good comedians by any stretch. Would you go and see a really terrible music act or a movie just because you shared some of the same opinions as the performers? This act isn't even right wing it is just someone thinking they are edgy when they come across like some MLM marketing rally host. Like a female David Brent.
@rauminen41674 жыл бұрын
@@punkisinthedetails1470 No, no they don't. People call them right wing, as if that was a smear. You also seem to forget that your opinions are not facts. I see some people here liking her sketch, and she did get some decent laughs. The sad thing is, as I said, that common sense is now a right wing thing, along with freedom of speech and classical liberalism. The even saddest thing is that people self-censor, lest they offend someone's fragile ego... even if that person is imaginary. Sometimes even the laughs are stifled. Sad, very sad, I don't like where this is going at all.

Well, I thought I’d give a female comedian a chance, because this channel has introduced some really funny comedians, but I’m still waiting for the comedy, although I don’t disagree with most of her points. If I wanted a lecture with a barely interested laugh track, I’d go back to a leftist uni.
@punkisinthedetails14704 жыл бұрын
Yup. I have tried saying this elsewhere on this comments section with the predictable response of " well that's just your opinion " or " right wing is just common sense " when I haven't said I am stating my opinions as fact or whether right wing comedy is good or not. Acts like this do set the bar ridiculously low. This isn't an open mic spot at a bar these are supposed to be professional comedians. Regardless of world view their delivery, timing, pace is awful and their content lacks originality regardless of whether you agree or not with their world view. Like I have said to others you wouldn't pay to see an obviously terrible band just because you " agree " with them
@punkisinthedetails14704 жыл бұрын
True of many comedians on this channel. Not edgy, not even particularly right wing, just unfunny people telling other's their opinion and views with all the comedic talent of David Brent or sometimes not even that. Like a sex ed teacher or MLM marketing seminar host who is the office extrovert when many talented comedians are typically quite introverted and don't have such a self absorbed vibe.
@punkisinthedetails14704 жыл бұрын
@R J Thanks, although it is just my opinion. The problem is some think this channel is providing a platform for a niche but all it is providing is a platform for people who think they are comedians. They may be a bit funny in a social setting they still aren't talented or just unheardof. This venue gives the impression to them they are and takes money from the audience to make a quick buck. This is Pub Rock comedy not Punk Rock comedy. Karaoke for people who miss clubbing when they were half the age

This... isn't comedy, this is just preaching while using a wired voice and slightly more hand movements. I mean, i can see what she's trying to do, instead of self-deprecating humor, she's going for a more of a Lee Evens clown thing, but it doesn't work like this. The entire basis of that type of humor isn't being wired, even though he does that a lot, it's more about getting the audience to actually mentally visualize something absurd of everyday life. And in order for that type of humor to work, it needs to be on subjects the speaker isn't that invested in, otherwise the audience takes it too seriously and hence can't laugh at the absurdity of it.
@johnhandshake44605 жыл бұрын
thanks for this... if you have the time, could you please write a comprehensive list of what it and isn't comedy? that would help a lot of people who're unsure whether to laugh at certain "comedy" bits or not.
@ionlyfearphobophobia5 жыл бұрын
Sure thing; "comedy is that which makes people laugh with someone trying to make them laugh, and the more they do laugh the more it is comedy". The laughter in the audience here was on par with a bad clown making funny faces, because her goal was not to make people laugh first a foremost, it was to preach her ideas.
